Meet LA’s Finest The Foxxy Cortney Brown

Meet Cortney Brown, a Los Angeles native and FIDM alum. In 2009, Cortney started her fashion journey studying Visual Communications. She channeled her passion for fashion and style while also channeling her creative juices in the beauty arena. Post graduating with her Associate of Arts degree, she began to work on a personal interest of hers.

in 2015, Coco and Foxx Swimwear was born. She decided to create a fashionable and edgy swim line because she couldn't find trendy pieces she liked for herself. Her line consists of 6 pieces (Paw, Cat Eye, Purr, Kitty, Petal, Foxxy) that embody the brand's motto "From The Land to The Sea." Her vision was to offer pieces to make women feel their best and sport a versatile piece that is interchangeably worn in and out the water. Not only did she nail the swim game, but she started to awaken an old talent she always had inside her.

As a young girl, Cortney was always into beauty. She would do her own make up and grab the attention and admiration from those around her. In 2008, she started taking her talent for makeup seriously and began doing it on family and friends. Today she is a professional Make Up Artist and Skin Specialist. She's done photo shoots and celebrities like Singer, Song Writer Teedra Moses and Journalist, Author and BET Host, Shaun Robinson.
