NAMILIA IS THE NAME, FASHION IS THE GAME

NYFW Fall/Winter 2017 has come to an end. It was a very exciting, adrenaline driven, anxiety filled week and worth every second of it. I am very appreciative to be a part of the shows backstage getting these models runway ready. There is so much that goes into preparing for that big day. Designers, producers, photographers, assistants, make up, hair, nails, the visual team, PR, editors, reporters, studio employees and many more are involved in the process of one single show that lasts minutes. In this time frame there has to be precise execution modeled by the models just the way the designer envisions it to be. There is no time for slip ups. The designer relies on everyone to hold their own and do their job.

Namilia had a very raw look that I wanted to capture. I always get excited to do shows that portray a true sense of emotion, feeling, thought, and creativity. The nails showcased were a three step process; press on, cut/shape, and paint. I loved it! The look of the pointy stilettos screams opposition to the norm. The clothes went along with this theme. Very PRO WOMEN and anti male hierarchy. I am a strong supporter of those who express themselves in a individual manner. Self expression means doing what you want, how you want, when you want, where you want because you want! This show was also such a big statement because of our current political matters and new elected president. It is a time to stand up for your rights and what you believe in.

ROCK ON NAMILIA!!
